Better for today and tomorrow

Hoose began as an idea, a dream and hope for a better future. It became a reality once the founding partners met and realised their shared vision.

That vision was to create a new way of building, living and working: to design and build sustainable homes that were good for the owners and for the planet. This aim was expanded to include improving and retrofitting existing buildings to the same high sustainable standards.

The Hoose logo represents the tree of life, a force that connects all lives. “People and planet first” are not just buzzwords at Hoose. As champions for better standards and practices in sustainable construction, the impact on those who create and construct the builds has been considered. Hoose is a safe, creative and gender neutral workspace.

In-house designers, artists, engineers, fabrication and assembly teams are highly qualified and come from a pool of local architects and crafts people who care passionately about creating a win-win for everyone involved in the process of the build.

Pooling many decades of experience, academic research and knowledge in construction, design and conservation, the Hoose team have created one of the most sustainable and flexible methods of construction.

“We want people to be able to enjoy living in homes that are good for them and for the planet,” say the founders.

Quality of life is important, at work and at home, which is why the team have spent decades researching and refining the best aspects of the eco-build industry. The collaborative approach has resulted in the creation of an innovative system which allows Hoose to build almost anywhere, from remote islands to town centres, with minimal impact on the local and wider environment.

“We are committed to creating a lifelong relationship with clients and to ensuring that building or extending a home is a positive experience,'“ say the team.
